Hong Kong Stock Movement | DRINDA (02865) Surges Over 7% at One Point as Company Expands into Perovskite Space Energy Applications

Stock News2025-12-31

DRINDA (02865) saw its shares jump more than 7% in early trading. As of the time of writing, the stock was up 4.59%, trading at HKD 21.44, with a turnover of HKD 43.28 million.

On December 31, an investor relations activity record disclosed by DRINDA revealed that current mainstream space energy solutions face limitations in cost control, lightweight design, and flexible adaptability, making them difficult to suit the needs of mass deployment and cost-sensitive commercial aerospace. Perovskite photovoltaic technology, with its core advantages of ultra-lightweight, low cost, high radiation resistance, and flexible roll-to-roll deployment, is expected to become a revolutionary solution to overcome space energy bottlenecks and support the scaled development of the space economy.

The company, together with Shangyi Photovoltaics, is actively promoting mass production of products based on downstream customer demand, strengthening product service capabilities, and expanding into the domestic and North American commercial aerospace and space computing power markets.

Guojin Securities previously pointed out that space orbits have become a crucial battleground, and space applications are expected to recreate a market size comparable to that on the ground. The International Telecommunication Union's "first-come, first-served" rule has intensified the urgency of competition among major powers in the commercial satellite sector, with global low-earth orbit satellite constellation construction and the space computing power industry entering a period of explosive growth. As photovoltaics are currently the only commercial energy solution for space scenarios, the core market demand is evolving from单一的 "reliability and efficiency" to a comprehensive system capability of "high efficiency, lightweight, low cost, and flexibility." According to the firm's estimates, the global space photovoltaic market is projected to approach a scale of trillions by 2030.
