Recent data from the Hong Kong Stock Exchange has revealed a notable share deposit activity involving SOFTMEDX (00648).
On June 24th, a significant position change was recorded, with the total deposited share value reaching HK$145 million, accounting for 23.69% of the relevant holdings.
A company shareholder deposited 25.391 million shares into Hong Chi Securities, resulting in a 23.71% increase in the proportion of shares held through that brokerage.
This follows a previous announcement made by the company on May 15th. At that time, it was disclosed that the controlling shareholder, Multi Omniverse Group Limited, intended to place up to 445 million company shares.
Subsequently, on May 15th, 2026, the company was notified by the placing shareholder that all 445 million shares held, equivalent to 20.8% of the issued share capital as of the announcement date, had been successfully placed by the placing agent.
The shares were placed with no fewer than six placees at a price of HK$0.11 per share.
To the best of the directors' knowledge, information, and belief, having made all reasonable enquiries, each placee and its ultimate beneficial owner, where applicable, is an independent third party with no connection or concert party relationship with the company or its connected persons.
Furthermore, following the completion of the placement, none of the placees became a substantial shareholder of the company.
Upon completion of this placement, the interest of the placing shareholder in the company decreased from 51.0% to 30.3%, though it remains the controlling shareholder.
