Humanwell Healthcare Compensation Claims Remain Open as Regulatory Investigation Continues

Claims for compensation related to Humanwell Healthcare are still being collected, and the company remains under a regulatory investigation by the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC), with no final conclusion yet announced nearly two years after the case was opened.

On October 22, 2024, Humanwell Healthcare disclosed an announcement stating that the company and its controlling shareholder had received a Notice of Filing from the CSRC. Due to suspected violations of information disclosure laws and regulations, the CSRC decided to open an investigation into the company and its controlling shareholder. Nearly two years have passed, but the results have yet to be released.

Attorney Liu Peng from Shanghai Huxi Law Firm stated that investors who bought shares on or before October 22, 2024 (inclusive), and sold or continued to hold shares at a loss after October 23, 2024, may still participate in the compensation claim. Although no penalty has been issued yet, investors can still pursue compensation. Filing a lawsuit as early as possible increases the chance of recovering losses sooner.

Why was the company investigated? There were early signs

The company had previously received a warning letter. Regulators found that the company failed to timely disclose non-operational fund occupation, failed to timely review and disclose related-party transactions, and committed multiple other violations. The company also engaged in fund occupation behavior. Although an announcement claimed the funds had been fully repaid, the CSRC will still pursue retroactive penalties. The company has long lacked rigor in information disclosure, repeatedly failing to update data in a timely manner and providing incomplete explanations, which has led the market and regulators to question the transparency of its operations. All these signs indicate that the investigation was not accidental but an inevitable result of the company's long-term irregular operations.

Affected investors can actively safeguard their legitimate rights and interests by joining the compensation claim to recover losses. During the process, investors should retain relevant trading records, vouchers, and other evidence so that they can effectively prove their losses in subsequent compensation proceedings.
