ZA ONLINE announced that Yin Hai has been reappointed as Chairman for a three-year term following the first meeting of its fifth board of directors.
On November 28, ZA ONLINE disclosed that Yin Hai was elected Chairman during the fifth board’s inaugural meeting, with his term extending from the announcement date until November 27, 2028. Yin initially assumed the role in December 2023, succeeding former Chairman Ou Yaping, who stepped down for personal reasons.
Under Yin’s leadership, ZA ONLINE has demonstrated robust business growth. In the first nine months of this year, the company reported gross written premiums of RMB 26.93 billion, marking a 5.6% year-on-year increase. Additionally, H1 2025 net profit attributable to shareholders reached RMB 668 million.
As a pioneer in integrating technology and insurance, ZA ONLINE invested RMB 398 million in AI and R&D during H1 2025.
**Yin Hai’s Career Journey** Born in February 1973, Yin holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Beijing Foreign Studies University and a master’s in civil and commercial law from Peking University. His 33-year career spans three distinct phases: - **1993–2003**: Worked at Bank of China as a treasury trader, strategist, and head of FX trading at its London branch. - **2003–2013**: Transitioned to insurance, holding leadership roles at Huatai Insurance Group, including Asset Management Director and P&C Marketing Director. - **2013–Present**: Served as ZA ONLINE’s inaugural CEO before briefly joining Yixin Baocheng as Chairman.
