Zai Lab Ltd (09688) shares surged more than 13% on Friday, trading up 12.11% at HK$16.29 as of press time, with a trading volume of HK$69.7 million.

The rally follows the company's release of its second-quarter 2026 financial results and recent business highlights on the evening of August 6. The report showed total revenue of US$106.3 million for the second quarter of 2026, with net product revenue reaching US$105.8 million, a sequential increase of 11% from the previous quarter. This growth was driven by the steady performance of ZEJULA and the continued expansion of efgartigimod sales.

Notably, Zai Lab Ltd has advanced multiple global oncology and immunology pipeline programs toward key clinical and registration milestones. The company expects to announce several significant pipeline catalysts in the second half of 2026. Among these, phase 1 global data for zoci combined with a PD-L1 inhibitor as a first-line treatment for small cell lung cancer (SCLC) will be presented at the 2026 ESMO Congress. Additionally, a registration-enabling phase 3 study is planned to be initiated later this year. The global phase 1/1b study for ZL-1503 is progressing steadily, with initial first-in-human data anticipated in the second half of 2026.
