MAOYAN ENT (01896) fell over 2% again, extending its three-day decline to more than 10%. At press time, the stock was down 2% at HK$6.85, with a turnover of HK$16.956 million.
The decline follows reports that the animated film "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Infinity Castle Part 1 – Gyokko's Assault," which initially performed well in China due to its established fanbase, has seen a sharp drop in box office revenue after just three days. Market enthusiasm has cooled rapidly, with fifth-day projections now hovering around RMB 20 million.
Separately, it was clarified that earlier rumors about the film ending its theatrical run on November 20 were false. The third-phase screening license for "Demon Slayer" has been issued, valid until 23:59 on November 23.
