Optical Component and MLCC Stocks Surge as Trading Resumes After Holiday

Deep News02-24

On January 24, the first trading day for A-shares following the Spring Festival holiday, shares of the prominent optical module companies—often referred to as the "Yizhongtian" trio—recorded gains. Suzhou Tfc Optical Communication Co.,Ltd. (300394.SZ) saw its stock price hit a new intraday high. Multiple MLCC (multilayer ceramic capacitor) concept stocks also rallied collectively, with Sanyo Group (300408.SZ) reaching a fresh record high during the session.

Both optical modules and MLCCs are common components in AI data centers. MLCCs, in particular, serve as critical components in AI servers for managing high-power loads, with AI servers requiring significantly more MLCCs than standard servers.

During today's session, Suzhou Tfc Optical Communication Co.,Ltd. rose more than 14%, Zhongji Innolight (300308.SZ) climbed over 6%, and Eoptolink Technology Inc. (300502.SZ) advanced more than 4%. Among MLCC concept stocks, Fenghua Advanced Technology (000636.SZ) surged by the daily limit, Dalikepu (301566.SZ) jumped over 13%, Sanyo Group increased more than 12%, and Sinocera Functional Material (300285.SZ) rose over 10%. Notably, Suzhou Tfc Optical Communication Co.,Ltd. broke above 350 yuan per share, while Sanyo Group's stock price exceeded 60 yuan, both reaching all-time highs.

On the news front, although reports during the holiday indicated that Oracle delayed the construction of an OpenAI data center, other cloud providers such as Amazon continue to advance their data center projects. On February 23 local time, Amazon announced plans to build a new data center in Louisiana, USA, and establish AI and cloud computing infrastructure, with a total investment of $120 billion. Amazon had previously projected capital expenditures to reach $2 trillion this year.

Additionally, during the holiday period, Nvidia announced a multi-year strategic partnership with Meta, involving the deployment of millions of Blackwell and Rubin chips. Nvidia’s Grace CPU will be integrated into Meta’s data centers, with large-scale deployment of Nvidia’s Vera CPU expected by 2027. Nvidia’s Spectrum-X Ethernet switches will also be incorporated into Meta’s related systems.

Regarding MLCCs specifically, industry sources suggest that amid the data center construction boom, Murata, the world’s largest MLCC manufacturer, is considering raising prices for its high-end MLCC products, with a decision expected by the end of March.

Prior to the holiday, the "Yizhongtian" optical module companies had already disclosed their 2025 performance forecasts, with all three expecting year-on-year net profit growth. Zhongji Innolight projected a 2025 net profit between 9.8 billion and 11.8 billion yuan, an increase of 89.5% to 128.17%. Eoptolink Technology Inc. estimated a net profit of 9.4 billion to 9.9 billion yuan, up 231.24% to 248.86%. Suzhou Tfc Optical Communication Co.,Ltd. anticipated a net profit of 1.881 billion to 2.15 billion yuan, representing growth of 40% to 60%.
