As Yangcheng Lake hairy crabs are harvested, Shanghai Airport Logistics has entered the peak period for perishable crab transport support.
According to Shanghai International Airport Co.,Ltd. (ASX: 600009), its two major airport cargo terminals at Pudong and Hongqiao have transported a total of 1,126 tons of hairy crabs since the first crab transport support order of the year on September 19 through September 27, with the highest single-day volume reaching 227 tons.
Live hairy crabs are perishable and highly demanding in terms of logistics timeliness, storage environment, and loading and unloading.
To ensure perishable crab transport, the Pudong and Hongqiao airport cargo terminals have joined forces in advance with airlines, freight forwarders, and other logistics chain companies to jointly formulate a special support plan for the crab season, open a "green channel" for hairy crab transport, launch "priority acceptance, priority security screening, and priority palletizing" services, and dynamically and efficiently schedule forklifts and airside waiting, storage, and operation areas.
Hairy crab transport is "afraid of stuffiness, pressure, and waiting." The two airport cargo terminals under Shanghai International Airport Co.,Ltd. (ASX: 600009) have assembled a special support team composed of frontline backbone staff, implemented 24-hour emergency duty, further optimized and refined the acceptance, palletizing, and netting processes, and focused on inspecting box breathability and pressure resistance during operations. Through efficient operations of "processing immediately upon entry and loading immediately after processing," they have minimized the stay time of hairy crabs at the cargo terminals, achieved seamless connection from airport acceptance to departure, and delivered hairy crabs to supermarket shelves and consumers' dining tables across the country as quickly as possible.
