阿联酋方面表示，反对OPEC+其他成员国将限制石油产量的协议延长至2022年4月以后的提议，除非其被允许有一个更高的产量削减基线。阿联酋同意从今年8月开始，OPEC+应每月增加40万桶/日的产量。
阿联酋希望将延长协议与每月增产分开进行讨论。
阿联酋认为延长协议的决定没有必要现在就做出，这项协议还有8-9个月时间，还有足够的时间在稍后的阶段进行讨论。
