HKT-SS (06823) has released its interim results for the first half of 2026.
Total revenue reached HK$18.685 billion, representing an 8% increase compared to the same period last year. Net profit attributable to shareholders rose 4% to HK$2.153 billion, with earnings per unit of 28.41 HK cents. The interim distribution is set at 34.80 HK cents per stapled unit.
Revenue from local data services grew by 6% to HK$7.265 billion, which helped drive a 3% rise in total local telecommunications service revenue to HK$9.014 billion. Local data services remain the largest segment within local telecom services, accounting for 81% of revenue. Revenue from pay-TV services increased to HK$1.169 billion, while local telephone service revenue stood at HK$853 million.
International telecommunications service revenue saw a 2% increase to HK$3.899 billion during the period. As a result, total telecommunications service revenue rose by 3% to HK$12.913 billion.
The mobile communications business continued to show growth, with service revenue climbing 5% to HK$4.394 billion. This expansion was mainly driven by sustained growth in roaming services, an expanding 5G postpaid customer base, and increased demand from enterprise clients for mobile communication solutions.
Sales of mobile communications products surged 83% year-on-year to HK$1.854 billion, largely fueled by higher demand for new flagship mobile phones launched in late 2025. The Club, which offers customers a convenient digital shopping experience, further supported this sales growth.
