This year's government work report has outlined significant plans to "cultivate and expand distinctive rural industries" and "promote stable income growth for farmers." "We must think what the masses think, address their urgent needs, and lead them on the path to common prosperity," said National People's Congress representative Li Guangli, who also serves as deputy secretary of the Party branch in Longshan Village, Mashan Town, Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province. To develop the rural specialty economy, the village has established a rice cooperative and an edible mushroom cooperative, branding products such as rice, edible fungus, and honey with the "Longshan Village" specialty label, guiding villagers toward a path of product differentiation and branding. By organizing family farms, Longshan Village has planted hazelnut and sea buckthorn trees in the fields and raised sea buckthorn chickens and geese, developing distinctive planting and breeding industries to open up multiple avenues for prosperity. Representative Li Guangli noted that Longshan Village is a provincial-level revolutionary old district village. In recent years, the construction of red culture bases has been steadily advanced with initial results. The village has now built an exhibition hall for anti-Japanese united force education and a red culture square, providing platforms for inheriting red traditions and promoting revolutionary spirit. Li Guangli stated that Longshan Village will further leverage the upstream Jilong Lake ecological resources, adhere to both external introduction and internal cultivation, focus on the main theme of red culture, actively plan and develop distinctive red tourism projects, promote the integrated development of agriculture, culture, and tourism, and facilitate stable income growth for farmers.
