Ant Group CEO Han Xinyi Predicts Agent Commerce Will Surge Within 6-12 Months

At the Alipay AI Ecosystem Partner Conference held in Hangzhou, Ant Group Co., Ltd. CEO Han Xinyi delivered a keynote address. He predicted that agent commerce will experience explosive growth within the next 6 to 12 months, driven by the simultaneous maturation of three key conditions.

First, he highlighted the advancement and enhancement of AI technical capabilities, noting that intelligent agents have matured in reasoning, execution, and tool invocation, with continuously improving abilities to handle long and complex tasks. Second, he pointed to a shift in demand. Han Xinyi stated, "The era of traffic dividends is over. To achieve growth, we must focus on improving efficiency within existing limited traffic." Third, he emphasized the need for a sustainable value loop. He added, "This includes improvements in both capability and efficiency that can genuinely boost conversion rates for every merchant and help them manage their costs."
