Supporting Factors for the Rally

The positive sentiment follows the State Council's approval of the "15th Five-Year Plan for Expanding Consumption" on July 13, which sets a target for total retail sales of consumer goods to reach around RMB 60 trillion by 2030.

Recent research from Macquarie points to channel data indicating that BUSYMING opened approximately 5,000 new stores in the first half of 2026.

The firm's current forecast for full-year 2026 new store openings is between 6,500 and 7,000, which exceeds the company's own guidance of 5,000.

It is estimated that same-store sales growth remained stable in the first half, with revenue increasing by 55% year-over-year.

The report further states that BUSYMING is committed to driving high-quality growth.

As the company expands into new categories such as fresh and frozen foods and makes smooth progress in optimizing its supply chain, these efforts are expected to support same-store sales and enhance store profitability.
