Aviation stocks in Hong Kong continued their upward trajectory, with China Eastern Airlines rising more than 3%. Meilan Airport also advanced over 2%, while Cathay Pacific and Beijing Capital Airport each climbed more than 1%.

According to industry sources, the China Air Transport Association reported that the weekly international passenger flight schedule for China's civil aviation this year is generally in line with the same period last year. During the May Day holiday period (May 1 to 5), international passenger flight plans are expected to increase by 5.5%. Key domestic routes to Southeast Asia, including flights to major cities such as Bangkok, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Phnom Penh, are operating normally with stable frequencies. However, some routes to niche tourism destinations and low-density regional routes have seen temporary reductions.

Additionally, multiple airlines indicated that flight volumes during the May Day holiday period are higher compared to last year.

Analysts at Guohai Securities noted that airfares surged in April, with base ticket prices achieving year-on-year growth. This improvement is gradually materializing and may effectively offset some of the risks associated with rising fuel prices.
