H.B. Fuller School Holds Parent-Teacher Meetings for All Grades in Fall 2025

To deepen the implementation of the "family-school-community" collaborative education concept and foster consensus and joint efforts to support the holistic and personalized growth of every student, H.B. Fuller School held parent-teacher meetings for all grades on November 15, 2025, under the theme "Joining Hands to Chart a Blueprint, Uniting Efforts to Safeguard Growth." The meetings were conducted in a three-dimensional model of "centralized planning, class-specific discussions, and in-depth exchanges," held simultaneously across different grades.

The event established a solid bridge for home-school communication and fostered educational consensus through sincere dialogue, jointly mapping out a blueprint for student development.

The Grade 10 parent-teacher meeting began with a centralized session in the multifunctional hall, hosted by Vice Principal He Han, who oversees the grade. He emphasized that Grade 10 students are not only learners of new curricula and textbooks but also participants in the new college entrance examination model. At this critical stage, both families and the school must guide students in self-awareness, goal-setting, and decision-making. The school will continue offering career planning courses and personalized guidance to help students and families navigate this important period.

An invited education expert shared insights on subject selection principles, strategies, major planning, and combinations of physics and history disciplines, using real-life examples to clarify misconceptions and advise parents on making informed choices based on their children's interests and academic performance.

The Grade 11 meeting started with a centralized broadcast speech by Yang Cheng, the grade leader, who highlighted the transitional nature of the year and stressed the importance of solidifying subject foundations and fostering independent learning skills. The speech addressed the developmental and academic needs of Grade 11 students, offering targeted guidance for parents to support their children’s transition into this crucial phase.

The Grade 12 meeting, led by Vice Principal Yang Fukang, reviewed the semester’s exam preparation progress and analyzed diagnostic test data. Yang called for seamless collaboration between families and the school to create an optimal environment for students’ development and success in the college entrance examination.

A college admissions expert was invited to provide guidance on application strategies, university selection, and career prospects, helping parents and students clarify their academic goals.

Homeroom teachers presented detailed feedback on class performance, individual student progress, and behavioral habits using presentations, data comparisons, and case studies. Subject teachers provided precise feedback on students’ classroom engagement, knowledge mastery, and areas for improvement, offering specific tutoring methods and home-school cooperation strategies. Parents actively engaged, taking notes and discussing their children’s growth concerns with teachers.

After the class-specific meetings, parents and subject teachers moved to classrooms, hallways, and offices for one-on-one discussions. Teachers were surrounded by eager parents, addressing each student’s academic strengths, weaknesses, and learning habits. The scene reflected the warmth and dedication of home-school collaboration.

A school representative stated that the successful meetings not only enhanced parents’ understanding of the school’s educational philosophy and students’ progress but also strengthened the partnership in nurturing students.
