Hohhot Welcomes Another Enterprise Securing Coveted AEO Designation

Deep News04-07

It was reported on April 6 from Hohhot that Inner Mongolia Jiuyue International Trade Co., Ltd. has successfully obtained the prestigious Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) certification from customs authorities, according to information from the Saihan Customs. This brings the total number of AEO-certified enterprises in Hohhot to eight.

The AEO program, which stands for "Authorized Economic Operator," offers certified companies a range of benefits including reduced inspection rates for import and export goods, priority customs clearance procedures, and streamlined customs facilitation in countries and regions that have mutual recognition agreements with China. These advantages effectively lower trade costs and enhance international competitiveness.

Inner Mongolia Jiuyue International Trade Co., Ltd. specializes in the international trade of bulk commodities such as energy products, metals, and minerals. Its business scope includes the import of refined oil products and non-ferrous metals like copper, aluminum, and gold. "Securing the AEO certification will open up new opportunities for us in the international market," said Guo Dandan, the company's customs affairs manager.

Since the beginning of this year, Saihan Customs has focused on strengthening the foundation of credit management by actively promoting the latest incentive policies and intensifying efforts to cultivate enterprises for AEO certification. This has effectively increased the success rate of local businesses in achieving AEO status. Additionally, the customs authority has enhanced its proactive service approach by leveraging mechanisms such as "customs chief delivering policies to enterprises" and "one-stop service packages" to maximize the benefits of the AEO program. These efforts enable companies to benefit from dedicated customs coordinators and integrity-based preferential measures.

The customs authority also guides high-level certified enterprises to integrate AEO standards into their management systems, promoting comprehensive improvements in operational management and supporting businesses in expanding globally. These initiatives contribute to Hohhot's high-quality development and high-level opening-up.
