Deep News04-28

A ten-year employee of JD.com has purchased a spacious 110-square-meter apartment, expressing great pride in the achievement and a commitment to work for another decade. The announcement came as JD Logistics marked the 11th anniversary of its Frontline Employee Day, releasing new data showing nearly 42,000 employees have reached either five or ten years of service in the past year.

Among them, Zhou Weijian, who joined JD.com in 2016, has drawn particular attention. Starting as a regular courier, his diligence and dedication led to a promotion to site manager within four years. He now oversees a team of 51 people. Over the past decade, Zhou utilized his stable income and a housing provident fund loan to buy a two-bedroom home exceeding 110 square meters in his hometown.

At the awards ceremony, Zhou expressed immense pride and openly stated his intention to continue working at JD.com for another ten years. He also shared his hope that his child might one day work for the company. The event also featured a retirement ceremony for Mr. Zheng, an employee with 12 years of service. Zheng noted that the company consistently provided social security and housing fund contributions, ensuring a stable and secure life after retirement.

JD.com is recognized as the first company in China to establish a special day honoring frontline staff. For over ten years, the company has maintained a dual focus on employee welfare and motivation, enabling many grassroots staff to achieve stable career development and improved living standards. Couriers and full-time delivery riders participated in the on-site activities for Frontline Employee Day.
