The Chairman of China Construction Bank Corporation (CCB), Zhang Jinliang, met with Thomas Djiwandono, Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia, at the bank's headquarters on July 29.
The meeting focused on strengthening financial collaboration under the Local Currency Settlement (LCT) framework for bilateral trade between China and Indonesia.
Simon Aloysius Mantiri, President and CEO of Pertamina (Persero), Indonesia's state-owned oil company, also attended the meeting.
CCB is actively promoting the cross-border use of the Chinese yuan. The bank will work closely with Bank Indonesia and financial institutions to leverage its role as a financial bridge.
The initiative aims to deepen participation in the bilateral currency settlement financial ecosystem, offering comprehensive, high-quality cross-border yuan settlement, investment, and financing services to market players in both nations.
This cooperation is expected to support further achievements in bilateral trade and economic partnerships.
