A specialized event titled "Intellectual Property Empowering Full-Chain Services for Artificial Intelligence" was recently held at the China-ASEAN Artificial Intelligence Application Cooperation Center. The activity was jointly organized by the Nanning Intellectual Property Protection Center, the Wuxiang New Area Free Trade Innovation Bureau, and the China-ASEAN Artificial Intelligence Application Cooperation Center. Focusing on intellectual property protection in Nanning, the initiative aimed to provide precise support for local AI companies, address development bottlenecks, accelerate quality growth, and consolidate multi-party efforts to strengthen the foundation for China-ASEAN AI collaboration, thereby enhancing the development of an ASEAN-oriented digital economy innovation hub.
Intellectual property serves as a core support and strategic resource for innovation in the artificial intelligence industry. Given the sector's concentration of intellectual achievements and diverse development needs, challenges can be addressed through IP rights confirmation, utilization, protection, and financing pledges. Strengthening full-chain intellectual property services is not only crucial for stimulating corporate innovation and removing industrial bottlenecks, but also a key measure for Nanning to seize development opportunities and build competitive advantages in AI cooperation with ASEAN countries.
During the event, the Nanning Intellectual Property Protection Center shifted from a traditional passive service model to a proactive approach by deploying key staff to the front lines. A dedicated service counter was set up to provide on-site "one-stop" assistance covering seven major areas—including patents, trademarks, rights protection, and financing—tailored to the needs of Nanning’s AI firms and partner companies of the cooperation center. Through specialized training and on-site guidance, the center also helped interpret policies and procedures, supported companies in establishing innovation feedback mechanisms, and worked to resolve industry-wide obstacles.
Under the leadership of business specialists from the Nanning Intellectual Property Protection Center, thematic training sessions were conducted covering the seven service categories available at the counter. Real-world cases were used to illustrate operational procedures, enabling enterprises to better grasp relevant working methods. Frequently raised issues—such as expedited patent filing, overseas IP risk prevention, trademark applications, and intellectual property pledge financing—were addressed individually by staff through immediate responses and continuous follow-up guidance, adopting a customized, company-specific support strategy.
