QINGLING MOTORS (01122) announced that on December 19, 2025, the company entered into a repurchase agreement with Chongqing Mingde Financial Leasing Co., Ltd. and dealer Sichuan Zhongtai Cheyu Automobile Sales Service Co., Ltd. The repurchase targets include: (1) leased assets—a batch of 300 new energy vehicles leased by the dealer from the financial leasing company under the leasing contract; and (2) lease receivables—the financial leasing company's claims against the dealer under the leasing contract (including unpaid rent, residual value of repurchased leased assets, and buyout price), as well as related rights set by the financial leasing company to control the leased assets (such as mortgage claims on the leased assets).
In response to national policies and government requirements, the company is actively exploring technological innovation and business model transformation in new energy commercial vehicles, promoting deep integration of the smart connected vehicle industry chain, innovation chain, and capital chain, and fostering the growth of the new energy commercial vehicle market.
Currently, although the company's new energy commercial vehicle sales are growing rapidly in the light commercial vehicle sector, overall sales remain relatively low. Given the generally higher purchase cost of new energy commercial vehicles, customers are shifting from buying to leasing models. As a result, leasing has become a key driver of new energy commercial vehicle sales.
To support this, the company has adopted the widely used financial leasing model in the domestic auto industry, strengthening cooperation with financial institutions such as commercial banks and leasing companies to provide repurchase obligations for financing businesses related to the purchase of its new energy vehicles by customers or dealers. The repurchase obligation under the agreement essentially serves as a credit enhancement for the company's product sales and does not constitute pure third-party financing guarantees.
