Deep News07-10

Recent reports have indicated that Meituan has initiated workforce reductions across various business units.

According to the reports, the staff reductions began in early May and affected multiple departments, including several core business lines.

The reported layoffs impacted different segments, such as in-store group buying, Meituan Instashopping, Meituan Healthcare, and the commercialization division, with varying severance packages offered.

In response to these reports, Meituan has officially stated that the actual number of employees who have left the company in the past two months is fewer than 2,000.

The company emphasized that this figure represents a low proportion of its total workforce.

Based on its annual report released in April, Meituan reported having approximately 110,000 employees in 2025.
