Data collected over the past 24 hours by the Sina Finance "Liquor Price Index" indicates that the average terminal retail prices for major Chinese baijiu products experienced a slight overall decline on March 11. If one bottle of each major product were bundled for sale, the total price today would be 10,582 yuan, a decrease of 13 yuan from the previous day, bringing the price to its lowest point in nearly a week. The pace of market transactions has slowed, with prices showing a gentle downward trend.
For individual products, declines outnumbered gains. On the upside, Wuliangye 1618, Yanghe's Dream Blue M6+, and Xijiao Junpin each increased by 2 yuan per bottle, resulting in a slight upward adjustment in market quotes. On the downside, Premium Moutai and Luzhou Laojiao 1573 led the declines, each falling by 7 yuan per bottle. Feitian Moutai dropped by 4 yuan per bottle, while Wuliangye Standard Eighth Generation, Qinghualang, and Crystal Jiannanchun each saw minor decreases of 1 yuan per bottle. The prices for Qinghua Fen 20 and Gujing Gongjiu Gu 20 remained unchanged from the previous day.
The daily data for the "Liquor Price Index" is sourced from approximately 200 collection points reasonably distributed across major regions of the country. These points include, but are not limited to, designated distributors of liquor companies, independent distributors, e-commerce platforms, and retail outlets. The raw sample data consists of the actual final retail transaction prices processed at each point over the past 24 hours, aiming to provide an objective, scientific, and fully traceable dataset on the market prices of renowned baijiu products. Since the official i-Moutai platform began selling Feitian Moutai at 1,499 yuan per bottle at the start of the year, and Premium Moutai at 2,299 yuan per bottle on January 9, the gravitational pull of this new sales channel on the average terminal retail prices of these two products has gradually become apparent. The daily prices released by the "Liquor Price Index" are calculated using a rule that weights actual transaction volumes, and quantifiable prices from this platform are now being incorporated into the calculations for Feitian Moutai and Premium Moutai's terminal retail prices.
In other significant baijiu industry news, Liang Jinhui, a National People's Congress deputy and Party Secretary and Chairman of Gujing Group, presented proposals during the National Two Sessions focused on promoting the inheritance and innovative development of the brewing industry as a historical and classical sector. He stated that the inclusion of the brewing industry in the "historical classic industries" category has further elevated its developmental positioning. He recommended adhering to traditional brewing techniques and the inheritance of liquor culture, establishing a protection catalog for liquor cultural heritage and a mechanism to safeguard ancient brewing methods. Concurrently, he advocated for accelerating digital and intelligent transformation, promoting technological innovation and quality upgrades, building a digital standard system for the industry, and supporting companies in developing digital marketing ecosystems. Furthermore, Liang Jinhui suggested promoting the establishment of an international standard system for Chinese baijiu, expanding into overseas markets, and optimizing the industry's development environment by establishing cross-departmental coordination mechanisms.
