Sinolong New Materials Sources Electrical-Grade Polypropylene from Overseas Suppliers Including Borealis, Daelim, and Singapore TPC

Deep News12-11 22:12

Sinolong New Materials Co., Ltd. (301565) stated in response to investor inquiries that the core raw material for BOPP new energy films is electrical-grade polypropylene. Currently, the domestic production rate of electrical-grade polypropylene resin in China remains relatively low, with major domestic chemical enterprises still advancing technological breakthroughs in its production.

Given the current market supply dynamics, the company primarily procures electrical-grade polypropylene from overseas suppliers such as Borealis, Daelim, and Singapore TPC. The BOPP capacitor film industry faces high entry barriers, primarily in two aspects: First, at the raw material level, the quality variance of polypropylene resin directly determines the performance of finished products, with the difficulty in sourcing high-quality materials forming a fundamental barrier. Second, at the production technology level, manufacturers' stretching process maturity and the uniqueness of masterbatch formulations significantly influence the realization of specialized product performance, making core technological capabilities a critical competitive barrier.
