CHINA OVERSEAS Reports 13.9% Increase in Contract Sales for First Five Months of 2026

CHINA OVERSEAS (00688) has announced its property sales figures for May 2026 and the cumulative period from January to May.

In May alone, the contracted property sales value for the CHINA OVERSEAS group of companies reached approximately RMB 27.291 billion, representing a year-on-year increase of 14.4%. The corresponding sales area for the month was about 905,500 square meters, up 10.5% compared to the same period last year.

For the first five months of 2026, the group's cumulative contracted property sales amounted to roughly RMB 103.002 billion, marking a 13.9% rise year-on-year. However, the total sales area for this period was approximately 3.5247 million square meters, which reflects a 6.0% decrease compared to the prior year.

The company also reported that, as of May 31, 2026, it had secured subscribed property sales of about RMB 11.468 billion. These are expected to be converted into formal contracted sales in the coming months.

Regarding land acquisitions, in May 2026, the company added two new land parcels located in Zhuhai and Suzhou. The attributable gross floor area for these acquisitions is approximately 110,800 square meters, with a corresponding attributable land premium of about RMB 2.494 billion.

From January to May 2026, the group's cumulative attributable gross floor area for newly acquired land totaled around 744,800 square meters, with a cumulative attributable land cost of approximately RMB 7.662 billion.

Furthermore, the announcement noted that in May 2026, CHINA OVERSEAS Hongyang and/or its subsidiaries did not acquire any land parcels.
