On November 2, value investor Duan Yongping said on Xueqiu that his only China A-share holding is Kweichow Moutai. “In my A-share portfolio, I only hold Moutai,” he wrote.
His remark came in response to a comment from a user identified as Lostknot, who wrote that after following Duan’s posts, they had concluded they could only buy Moutai and could no longer bring themselves to buy the CSI 300 Index. The commenter added that after the launch of iMoutai and several personal purchases, they were focused on saving money to buy Moutai. They also acknowledged that Tencent is a good company and that they had done a lot of research on it, though their impression ultimately remained limited to that recognition.
Duan did not discuss other individual stocks or assets in the post and offered no additional details beyond his statement about holding Moutai in his A-share portfolio.
