Data collected over the past 24 hours by the Liquor Price Report shows that the average retail price for major Chinese baijiu products saw a slight overall increase on April 2. If one bottle of each major product were bundled together, the total price would be 9,960 yuan today, an increase of 6 yuan from the previous day, marking a new high for the past 13 days. The market displayed structural divergence, with continued price increases in high-end products driving the overall average higher, while most individual products saw declines, indicating a phase of consolidation and differentiation.
Among the 11 major baijiu products tracked today, four increased, six decreased, and one remained unchanged. Leading the gains, Gujing Gongjiu Gu 20 rose by 6 yuan per bottle, while Qinghua Lang increased by 5 yuan per bottle. Both Premium Moutai and Feitian Moutai saw gains of 4 yuan and 3 yuan per bottle respectively, each recording a strong third consecutive day of increases following news of the Feitian price adjustment. On the downside, Xijiu Junpin led the declines, falling by 4 yuan per bottle. Luzhou Laojiao 1573 decreased by 3 yuan per bottle, Wuliangye普五八代 dropped by 2 yuan per bottle, and Qinghua Fen 20, Yanghe Dream Blue M6+, and Crystal Jiannanchun each saw a slight decline of 1 yuan per bottle. The price of Wuliangye 1618 remained unchanged from the previous day.
The daily data for the Liquor Price Report is sourced from approximately 200 collection points reasonably distributed across major regions of the country. These points include, but are not limited to, designated distributors appointed by distilleries, independent distributors, e-commerce platforms, and retail outlets. The raw sample data consists of the actual transaction-based retail prices recorded at each point over the past 24 hours, aiming to provide objective, scientific, and fully traceable data on the market prices of well-known baijiu products. Since the official i-Moutai platform began selling Feitian Moutai at 1,499 yuan per bottle at the start of the year (adjusted upward to 1,539 yuan per bottle early on the 31st), and started selling Premium Moutai at 2,299 yuan per bottle on January 9, the gravitational influence of this new sales channel on the average retail prices of these two products has gradually become apparent. The daily liquor prices published in the Liquor Price Report are calculated using a rule that weights the actual transaction volumes, and verifiable prices from this channel have been incorporated into the terminal retail price calculations for these two products.
Significant channel news in the baijiu industry includes an announcement from JD Supermarket that its overall liquor sales in the first quarter of 2026 grew by more than 25% year-over-year, with sales from its self-operated liquor business increasing by over 35%. Driven by demand,
