NIO's Ma Lin Warns Against Car Owner Group Scams: ES9 Priority Delivery Claims Are False Information

Deep News01-30

On January 30, Ma Lin, Assistant Vice President of Brand and Communications at Shanghai NIO Co., Ltd., stated on Weibo that the company had received feedback from car owners indicating that individuals were inviting owners into chat groups, charging 200 yuan per person with promises of guaranteeing first access to ES9 information. These individuals also claimed to have already test-driven the vehicle and could arrange for earlier car deliveries for owners. Ma Lin emphasized that these claims are entirely false.

He strongly urged everyone not to readily believe such information online, advised caution in protecting personal privacy, and highlighted the importance of guarding against fraud.
