On August 27, a distributor of Wuliangye's Jianzhuang series revealed that the Hunan provincial general agent has lost contact, allegedly fleeing with nearly 15 million yuan owed to 11 sub-distributors.
The distributor detailed the agent's recruitment tactics: during the招商 phase, the agent presented cooperation contracts with Wuliangye, hosted distributor annual meetings, and organized factory return visits to the Yibin brewery. Additionally, the person in charge of Wuliangye's Hunan-Jiangxi region and staff from the Hunan office attended these events to endorse the recruitment.
The distributor emphasized: "We trusted the Wuliangye brand and its state-owned enterprise status, investing years of savings to join. Over the past two years (2025-2026), our 11 businesses paid sales commissions, advanced store costs, and invested heavily to develop channels. Now, Jianzhuang products like Daguang, Rongguang, and Rongyao are visible in convenience stores and restaurants across Changsha, Zhuzhou, Xiangxiang, Chenzhou, and Xiangtan, yet we have lost everything."
As of now, Wuliangye Yibin Co.,Ltd. has not responded to the situation.
