The following companies saw new developments that may affect trading of their securities on Friday (Dec 29):

Former Sembcorp Marine, now Seatrium, Brazil unit president Martin Cheah was acquitted of all charges stemming from anti-corruption probe Operation Car Wash on Dec 20.

Another individual linked to Operation Car Wash, Guilherme Esteves de Jesus, was also acquitted by the Brazilian Federal Lower Court on the same day, said Seatrium in an announcement on Tuesday (Dec 26). The Brazilian prosecutor’s office may appeal the court’s decision.

Sabana Industrial Real Estate Investment Trust’s (Reit) manager has filed a defence denying tenant Kleio One-Solution’s counterclaim.

In an announcement on Thursday (Dec 28), the manager said that it sought to clarify Kleio One-Solution’s mischaracterisation of the Reit’s obligations under lease. This forms the basis for the tenant’s counterclaim.

Winking Studios has inked a sale and purchase agreement to acquire Taiwan-based On Point Creative for NT$59.9 million (S$2.6 million), it announced on Thursday (Dec 28).

On Point Creative is a design studio specialising in art outsourcing services, and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Game Hours which is listed on the Taipei Exchange.

Winking Studios’ move is in line with the company’s business strategy to pursue acquisitions to boost sales, capabilities and its market presence globally, it said. The acquisition will be funded by internal resources as well as proceeds from the placement and cornerstone tranche of its recent listing.
