Tesson Holdings (ASX: 01201) has announced that on June 16, 2026, its indirect non-wholly owned subsidiary, Tesson Zhonghui Smart Power (Hong Kong) Limited, entered into a memorandum of understanding with China Railway First Bureau Group Co., Ltd.
Under this non-exclusive memorandum, the parties have agreed to establish a collaborative framework for the construction, operation, and maintenance of integrated solar-energy storage-charging-inspection stations in Hong Kong.
The intention is to combine their respective complementary resources to jointly develop a city-wide infrastructure network in Hong Kong for these integrated stations, which feature smart inspection and ultra-fast charging capabilities.
A car park at Hoi Hung Road in Tsuen Wan is anticipated to be the initial pilot project site.
This location is planned to be developed into a zero-carbon complex integrating parking, charging, and vehicle inspection services.
The group has been engaged in the production and sale of lithium-ion power batteries and related equipment for many years.
By the end of 2025, the group commenced operations of an electric vehicle charging network and began providing related support services.
The board believes that collaborating with a diversified business partner is expected to bring varied perspectives and expertise to the charging station business, thereby enabling the group to gain deeper insights into the industry.
The execution of this memorandum with China Railway First Bureau represents another strategic milestone for the group.
By leveraging China Railway First Bureau's extensive capabilities and resources in infrastructure construction, project design, and property management, the group anticipates it can further accelerate the deployment of integrated solar-energy storage-charging-inspection facilities to meet Hong Kong's growing market demand.
This cooperation is set to expand the footprint of the charging station business, capture high-quality local site assets, and ultimately strengthen the group's competitive position in the market.
