The National Intellectual Property Administration has issued Announcement No. 671, approving 217 enterprises—including Shanxi Jinmanyuan Fruit Industry Co., Ltd.—to use the special geographical indication labels. These companies produce 62 types of products such as Qixian Crisp Pears, Kazuo Aged Vinegar, Liuhegou Muskmelons, Kedong Natural Soda Water, Muling Soybeans, Bailianpo Tribute Rice, Duanyuan Grapes, Huoshan Yellow Tea, Huoshan Lingzhi Mushrooms, Jiuhua Solomon’s Seal, Duwei Pomelo, Qingliu Fresh Cut Flowers, Tianbao Bananas, Wuyi Rock Tea, Yongtai Dried Plums, Laiyang Pears, Longkou Vermicelli, Weishan Lake Hairy Crabs, Yantai Apples, Lushi Black Fungus, Queshan Prunella, Ru Porcelain, Xixia Kiwifruit, Xinyang Maojian Tea, Caidian Lotus Roots, Chenghe Willow Weaving, Huangmei Zen Tea, Huangmei Lotus Leaf Tea, Datong Lake Hairy Crabs, Huitong Konjac, Miluo Zongzi, Xinhuang Dong Tibetan Red Rice, Yongxing Rock Sugar Oranges, Yingde Black Tea, Bobai Longan Meat, Dayaoshan Sweet Tea, Guanyang Sweet Potato Noodles, Hengxian Jasmine Tea, Lingshan Lychees, Liubao Tea, Nixing Pottery, Rongshui Fragrant Ducks, Anxian Konjac, Anyue Lemons, Beichuan Moss Tea, Longan Pomelos, Longchang Soy Sauce, Pixian Bean Paste, Qiongjiu Liquor, Xiangcheng Tibetan Chickens, Xiangcheng Tibetan Chicken Eggs, Zhongjiang Dried Noodles, Hezhang Walnuts, Ziyun Spring Tea, Dunhuang Grapes, Huaniu Apples, Jingning Apples, Jiuquan Onions, Qin’an Apples, Wenxian Green Tea, Huangyuan Aged Vinegar, and Hotan Jujubes.
Each of these enterprises applied to their respective local intellectual property authorities for permission to use the geographical indication labels. Following review by relevant provincial intellectual property administrations and final examination and approval by the National Intellectual Property Administration, the registrations have now been officially granted. Effective immediately, these companies are authorized to use the geographical indication labels on their corresponding products, thereby receiving protection under geographical indication regulations.
