Recently, reports have emerged that a pure gold pendant sold at a CHOW SANG SANG store in Qingyuan City, Guangdong Province, was detected to contain iron, silver, and palladium, with a purity variation exceeding 35% between different testing points. In response to the incident, CHOW SANG SANG's official Weibo account issued a statement on February 3rd: "We attach great importance to the matters raised by the customer and are actively carrying out related work. We thank the public for their attention and supervision, and we will promptly share any relevant developments." According to a prior report by China National Radio, a Ms. Li from Qingyuan, Guangdong, recently reported that a newly purchased CHOW SANG SANG pure gold fortune bag pendant became scratched and developed white marks after just one day of wear. Questioning the gold content of the jewelry, she sent the pendant for testing, which revealed discrepancies in the gold content data from different points. Photos and videos of the test results provided by Ms. Li showed that the highest gold content point on the pendant was 99.99%, but other points yielded different figures: one point measured 96.21%, another 83.35%, and the lowest point was merely 64.37%. The difference between the highest and lowest gold content points was 35.62%. Furthermore, the test result photos indicated that the pendant contained various other metal elements, including iron, silver, and palladium.
