Insilico Medicine (03696) surged more than 9%, trading up 8.1% at HK$44.3 as of the latest update, with a turnover of HK$541 million.
According to recent news from Insilico's official WeChat account, the company announced that the innovative oral NLRP3 inhibitor ISM8969/HT-001, co-developed with Hengtai Biotech, has received clinical trial approval from China's National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) for the treatment of Parkinson's disease.
Following the completion of the first participant dosing in a Phase I clinical trial in Australia in June 2026, this approval marks the official start of parallel clinical evaluations in both China and Australia. The study aims to assess the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetic (PK), and pharmacodynamic (PD) profiles of ISM8969/HT-001 in healthy participants, as well as its preliminary efficacy in Parkinson's disease patients, laying the groundwork for further clinical development.
Previously, in January 2026, Insilico Medicine announced an exclusive licensing and collaboration agreement with Shenzhen Pengfu Fund, under Fosun Health Capital, and Hygtia Therapeutics, a portfolio company of Fosun Pharma, to jointly advance the global development of ISM8969/HT-001. Under the terms, both parties hold a 50% global stake in the project, with Insilico entitled to receive over HK$500 million in upfront and milestone payments.
