[Click to register] Recently, three generative engine optimization (GEO) group standards proposed and administered by the China Advertising Association — "Requirements for Generative Engine Optimization Services," "Requirements for Monitoring and Verification of Generative Engine Optimization Effects," and "Requirements for Classification, Grading, and Selection of Content Source Entities for Generative Engine Optimization" — were officially released and will take effect on October 23, 2026. WEIMOB INC (02013) participated throughout the standard-drafting work as a representative industry enterprise, working with universities, research institutions, brand enterprises, legal service organizations, and other parties to jointly build a self-regulatory system for the GEO industry and drive AI marketing into a new stage of compliant, high-quality development.

Currently, generative artificial intelligence is deeply integrating into the entire chain of brand communication, corporate marketing, and consumer decision-making. As an emerging service form of AI marketing, generative engine optimization (GEO) is rapidly expanding its market application scenarios. However, the industry is still in an early stage of development, with frequent market disorder, a lack of unified norms, blurred service boundaries, inconsistent effect evaluation standards, and insufficient credibility of content sources, all of which constrain the sustainable development of the industry. Against this backdrop, in order to guide market entities in fulfilling compliance obligations, strictly abide by the requirements of laws and regulations such as the Anti-Unfair Competition Law, the Advertising Law, and the Consumer Rights Protection Law, safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of consumers, and purify the marketing ecosystem, the China Advertising Association led the effort to gather forces across the industrial chain to draft three GEO group standards. WEIMOB INC (02013) was invited to participate in the drafting based on its technical practices and implementation experience in the GEO field, contributing enterprise practical experience on key topics such as service processes, effect measurement, and trusted content governance.

The three group standards released this time cover the entire chain of GEO service supply, effect verification, and content source governance, forming a mutually supportive self-regulatory system and providing important guidance for the industry to rectify disorder and strengthen self-discipline. "Requirements for Generative Engine Optimization Services" focuses on the standardization of the full service process, clarifying entity qualifications, implementation norms, behavioral boundaries, and compliance requirements, and providing self-regulatory guidance for service business activities; "Requirements for Monitoring and Verification of Generative Engine Optimization Effects" focuses on the closed loop of effect measurement, unifying monitoring dimensions, sampling rules, and verification methods, and solving the common industry problems of inconsistent evaluation standards and difficulty in verifying effects; "Requirements for Classification, Grading, and Selection of Content Source Entities for Generative Engine Optimization" focuses on content source governance, establishing a classification and grading model and selection rules for content source entities, and consolidating the foundation of credibility norms from the information entry point.

As a participating unit in this standard drafting, WEIMOB INC (02013) has long been deeply engaged in the generative engine optimization track. Relying on the Weimob Xingqi GEO one-stop solution, it has long served brands and enterprises in implementing AI marketing and has accumulated a large number of practical cases in compliant content production, AI search optimization, full-chain effect monitoring, and trusted content source construction. During the standard drafting and discussion stage, WEIMOB INC (02013) combined frontline brand service practice to put forward professional suggestions on issues such as service provider compliance risk control, quantitative effect evaluation, and content credibility management, helping the standards balance compliance requirements, technical feasibility, and practical applicability for enterprises.

Ge Shijing, head of production and research at Weimob Xingqi, said that generative engine optimization is a new track for brands to reach consumers in the AI era, and the long-term development of the industry cannot be separated from the support of a standardized and normalized foundation. Participating in the drafting of the CAA GEO group standards is an important practice of WEIMOB INC (02013) in fulfilling its concept of "responsible innovation." In the future, WEIMOB INC (02013) will continue to implement the requirements of the three group standards, integrate standard norms into the entire process of product capabilities and project delivery, and use technical capabilities to help brands carry out compliant GEO marketing; at the same time, it will continue to participate in industry co-construction and work with partners across the industrial chain to jointly build a trustworthy, transparent, and orderly generative engine optimization ecosystem, empowering brands to achieve long-term growth in the AI ecosystem.

After the three group standards are implemented, they will fill the gaps in GEO industry rules, clarify the compliance obligations of market entities, guide service providers to standardize business behavior, and protect consumers' right to know. With the implementation of the standards, the GEO industry will shift from extensive growth to standardized development, helping brand enterprises more clearly evaluate service provider capabilities and measure the value of marketing investment, and promoting the generative AI marketing industry to move forward steadily.
