A new urban leisure landmark is on the horizon for Urumqi, enhancing the city's appeal for living and tourism. The Urumqi Zijin City West Lake Park project, located on Anlan East Road, is currently under accelerated construction.
Xinjiang Century Xingye Investment Group Co., Ltd. is spearheading the development of the Zijin City project within the Twelfth Division of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps. The overall project encompasses ten sub-projects, including the West Lake Park, Zijin City Square, and the Corps Financial Technology Park.
The Urumqi Zijin City West Lake Park spans approximately 517 acres. The master plan features a dual-loop slow-traffic system, six distinct functional zones, and five themed cultural festivals. It aims to create a multi-layered ecological landscape that caters to diverse needs such as ecological leisure, cultural experiences, and recreational walking, thereby expanding the city's public activity space.
Construction of the park is progressing in an orderly, phased manner, with several key components already taking shape. An initial investment of around 80 million yuan has been allocated to develop five exquisite wooden cabin homestays and lakeside leisure spots on the park's southern side. Additionally, a 10,300-square-meter Wanda Baby King Super Playground has been completed in the southeastern area.
"The Wanda Baby King Super Playground is equipped with over twenty powered and non-powered amusement facilities and is scheduled to open to the public on July 1st," said You Jiali, Chairman of the project's operating company, Xinjiang Hengbo Tourism Culture Development Co., Ltd.
According to the comprehensive plan, the Urumqi Zijin City West Lake Park project will also feature upscale dining, elegant tea houses, beauty spas, and a lakeside camping base.
