Nasdaq 100 May Slip Into Technical Correction as AI Trades Unwind Rapidly

Deep News10-31

The Nasdaq 100 Index fell as much as 4.5% on Friday, putting it at risk of entering technical correction territory.

This would mark the third time this year that the index has posted a decline of at least 10%.

The tech-heavy Nasdaq 100 dropped below 28,102.2 points, a level that sits 10% below its most recent high; falling below that threshold would meet the definition of a technical correction.

The selloff was mainly driven by investors dumping technology stocks whose third-quarter results disappointed.
