Selected Dairy Stocks Advance as Beijing Allocates 100 Billion Yuan in Childcare Subsidies

Several dairy stocks recorded gains in today's trading session. As of the latest update, MENGNIU DAIRY (02319) rose by 6.29 percent to HK$16.06. China Feihe (06186) increased by 3.76 percent to HK$3.86. AustAsia Group (02425) advanced by 3.11 percent to HK$2.32. H&H International Holdings (01112) climbed by 1.51 percent to HK$14.11.

The upward movement follows recent policy announcements. Shen Danyang, head of the State Council Research Office and drafting group leader for the Government Work Report, stated that the central government has allocated nearly 100 billion yuan this year as childcare subsidy funds. The application and approval process will be further streamlined to enable immediate application and receipt upon childbirth.

Additionally, this year will see expanded pilot programs for childcare service subsidies, promoting affordable childcare and integrated infant-toddler care services. Nationwide, 150,000 new subsidized childcare slots will be added. The report also outlines measures across parental leave, maternity insurance, and housing support to improve conditions for young families, aiming to make childbearing and child-rearing more secure and convenient.
