From January to April this year, major projects in Dongguan completed an investment of 44.57 billion yuan, representing a year-on-year increase of 3.86%. During this period, 83 new major projects commenced construction, and 25 major projects were completed and put into operation.
Notable projects that began construction in April include the Dongguan Songshan Lake Bay Area New Materials Achievement Transformation Pilot Base Project and the first phase of the Dongguan Zhenghe Chuji Intelligent Manufacturing Headquarters Project. Projects that were completed and began operations in April include the Mobile Phone Metal Accessories Construction Project by Miya Precision Metal Technology (Dongguan) Co., Ltd. and the road upgrade and renovation project for Zhenxing Road and Guanwen Road in Dongcheng Subdistrict.
1. Dongguan Songshan Lake Bay Area New Materials Achievement Transformation Pilot Base Project This project covers an area of approximately 108.6 mu, with a total floor area of about 178,600 square meters. It will primarily include the construction of laboratory and R&D buildings, pilot production workshops, a wastewater treatment station, a hazardous and solid waste warehouse, and apartment buildings. With a total investment of 800 million yuan, construction began in April this year and is expected to be completed and operational by 2027.
2. First Phase of Dongguan Zhenghe Chuji Intelligent Manufacturing Headquarters Project The first phase of this project occupies an area of approximately 22.77 mu, with a total floor area of about 52,900 square meters. The plan involves constructing factory buildings and supporting facilities, focusing on the research, development, and production of electronic connectors and precision small parts for smart electronic products. With a total investment of 430 million yuan, construction started in April this year and is scheduled for completion and operation in 2028.
3. Mobile Phone Metal Accessories Construction Project by Miya Precision Metal Technology (Dongguan) Co., Ltd. This project covers an area of approximately 12.46 mu, with a total floor area of about 68,300 square meters. It primarily involves the construction of production workshops for the research, development, and manufacturing of high-tech precision metal hardware accessories. With a total investment of 150 million yuan, construction began in 2025, and the project was completed and put into operation in April this year.
4. Road Upgrade and Renovation Project for Zhenxing Road and Guanwen Road in Dongcheng Subdistrict This road upgrade and renovation project has a total length of approximately 6.3 kilometers and is classified as a primary (or secondary) urban arterial road. With a total investment of 80 million yuan, construction commenced at the end of 2024, and the project was completed and delivered for use in April this year.
