Sequoia Capital announced on Tuesday the appointment of Doug Leone, an investor who has been with the firm since 1988, as its Chairman. The company stated that Leone will resume involvement in new investment deals after stepping back from new investment activities in 2022. A person familiar with Leone's thinking mentioned that, as he is no longer serving on the boards of recently acquired portfolio companies—including Wiz—he now has more time to dedicate to investment work. Leone has not yet provided an immediate comment.
