The leveraged ETF tracking the Nikkei 225, the CSOP Nikkei 225 Daily (2x) Leveraged Product (07262), rose over 5%, reaching a new high of HK$190.9. As of the latest update, it gained 5.36% to HK$189.85, with a trading volume of HK$3.4566 million. The move followed the Nikkei 225 index closing up 2.53% on May 29, setting a new record closing high. Semiconductor-related stocks such as SoftBank Group, Ibiden, and Kioxia Holdings were in high demand. On the geopolitical front, reports indicated that on May 28, U.S. and Iranian negotiators reached a framework agreement on a 60-day memorandum of understanding, aiming to extend a ceasefire and initiate talks on Iran's nuclear program, pending final approval from U.S. President Donald Trump.
