MINTH GROUP's Yan Huofeng: The Core Element for Overseas Expansion is "People"

Deep News05-15

The 18th Xuanyuan Automotive Bluebook Forum was held in Guangzhou from May 15 to May 17, with the theme "Turning Point." In his speech, Yan Huofeng, Global Senior Vice President of MINTH GROUP, stated that the three most critical factors for successfully establishing overseas factories and achieving steady development in every location are: first, people; second, compliance; and third, social value.

First and foremost is "people," referring to the company's employees, which is of utmost importance. The first factory general manager dispatched to each new overseas plant is always assigned from the headquarters. This factory general manager must undergo systematic training, possess extensive global project and plant management experience, and have strong language skills and a global perspective.

In addition, every employee sent overseas from headquarters undergoes comprehensive assessment and specialized training to ensure they can truly integrate into the local culture and respect the customs and culture of local employees. Currently, the localization rate of employees in every overseas factory globally reaches 50% to 70%, which is one of the key factors for the stable operation of these overseas plants.

The second key point is compliance, and the third is social value. Cultural integration and the realization of social value are crucial when expanding into any region. For example, in Serbia, the company sponsors nearby schools and hospitals to address equipment shortages and inadequate facilities. The company also has its own foundation to provide support to impoverished local employee families. Meanwhile, the human resources department conducts extensive cultural integration training locally, which includes arranging employee home visits to further strengthen relationships with employees.

"These measures are far more convincing than the numbers in our corporate annual reports. They encourage our local employees to actively promote our company to those around them. They also allow employees' children, families, and friends to genuinely feel that, because their loved ones work at our company, they have the opportunity to go abroad and see a broader world."
