On the evening of September 26, Beijing Zhidemai Technology Co.,Ltd. announced that earlier this month, the official version of their self-developed next-generation consumer intelligent agent "Zhang Dama" app began public beta testing. The company disclosed that "without large-scale user acquisition and promotional campaigns, the average daily app launches per user and average conversation rounds per user both exceeded industry averages."
Yang Ning, head of the product research and development center at Beijing Zhidemai Technology Co.,Ltd., revealed that the company's current R&D investment accounts for approximately 12% of revenue, with over 50% of R&D expenses allocated to AI development. "This is our long-term strategy, and the entire company is very committed to technology investment in the AI field," he stated.
Regarding the core service scenarios of the "Zhang Dama" app, Yang explained that it primarily focuses on two major areas: first, e-commerce shopping, and second, local life services and smart travel.
"This aligns with users' core expectations for a consumer-type agent. In terms of specific expansion paths, we are actively promoting an open AI ecosystem strategy, collaborating with upstream and downstream partners to build a new consumer ecosystem for the AI era. Taking ticketing and travel scenarios as an example, we will gradually expand capabilities around key aspects such as booking and pre/post-travel services by integrating core partners," Yang stated.
Facing potential competition from major tech companies in AI Agent and related areas, Beijing Zhidemai Technology Co.,Ltd. expressed confidence. Yang specifically cited two main reasons:
First, the ability to accurately identify user consumption intentions and meet user needs across platforms. With accumulated cross-platform historical data, the company can more precisely identify user consumption intentions, and through cross-platform service integration, they can satisfy user needs across different platforms.
Second, deep task execution potential. This requires collaboration with upstream and downstream industry partners and needs accumulated historical cooperation. Beijing Zhidemai Technology Co.,Ltd. has consistently focused on the consumer sector, establishing deep relationships with many partners in this field. The company also better understands user consumption decision-making processes and is willing to handle complex integration work to connect the industry chain. In these aspects, the company has first-mover advantages and industry know-how, providing unique insights and advantages when advancing deep task execution.
Additionally, Yang mentioned that "the Zhang Dama app may adopt a subscription-based business model in the future. First, current technology exploration is gradually meeting user experience expectations, as evidenced by positive user reactions in data and feedback. Second, as the product advances and more collaborators join, cooperation scale is expected to show exponential growth potential. This means C-end application scenario expansion will accelerate, and we expect to reach a critical point in the near future where users recognize scenario value and are willing to pay for it."
Beijing Zhidemai Technology Co.,Ltd. also revealed that from a long-term perspective, international expansion is a clear trend. Their overseas strategy is not simply copying the "Zhang Dama" product functions, but rather systematically exporting Beijing Zhidemai Technology Co.,Ltd.'s core model that has been successfully validated domestically to overseas markets, with appropriate adaptations based on local consumption environments.
