China's central bank data showed that the country's gold reserves reached 74.38 million ounces by the end of March, compared to 74.22 million ounces at the end of February, marking the 17th consecutive month of increases.
The pace of gold accumulation accelerated in March. In November and December of last year, gold reserves rose by 30,000 ounces each month. In January this year, the increase was 40,000 ounces, followed by a 30,000-ounce rise in February.
