With a total investment of 7.81 billion yuan and 990 million yuan in secured funding, the county has built a robust "skeleton" for its integrated transportation network. "We focus on opening major corridors and smoothing 'micro-circulations,' vigorously advancing railway, expressway, national-provincial trunk roads, rapid transit corridors, and rural highway construction. The blueprint is becoming reality: the Lianwangyan Railway is officially operational, the S5 intercity rail line is progressing steadily, and five expressways spanning 246 kilometers crisscross the region, placing Renshou among the top in provincial road density. Projects like the Tianmeile and Lezi Expressways have commenced, while the Chengchi Expressway expansion is imminent. Originally a 5.6-kilometer industrial path in Hongshui Village, it was transformed through gradient reduction, curve adjustments, widening, and beautification—highlighted by a tricolor midline that turned it into a cycling and driving hotspot, boosting local tourism.

"Minor loop upgrades not only resolved dead-end roads but also eased travel and transport," said Hu Qiang, a Baoma Town official, noting plans to extend a 1.2-kilometer segment to link resources like ponds and greenbelts, creating a leisure fishing zone.

The expansion of livelihood roads bridges both geographic gaps and public aspirations. To relieve traffic pressure in Shijian, Outang, and Baoma towns, Renshou is upgrading the Longma-Shijian Road, benefiting 300,000 residents. In 2024, the county completed 2.8 billion yuan in fixed-asset investments, secured 216 million yuan in funding, installed 100,000 meters of guardrails, and saw postal services grow by 25.77%, with key projects frequently topping provincial commendation lists.

**"15th Five-Year" Vision: 70 Billion Yuan in Projects to Shape Future Landscape** Building on the 14th Five-Year Plan's foundation, Renshou is eyeing the 15th Five-Year period with over 30 reserved projects worth 70 billion yuan across railways, expressways, trunk roads, rural highways, low-altitude economy, green initiatives, and logistics parks.

Key plans include: advancing the S5 rail extension into national-provincial planning, promoting the Chengdu Outer Ring Railway, optimizing the Chengchi Expressway expansion, resuming the Renshou-Jianyang corridor, eliminating intercity "dead-end roads," and constructing a Renshou-Dongpo freight channel. Rural road upgrades aim to add 960 kilometers of graded highways in five years, further fueling rural revitalization.

"Roads solve transport needs, but they're also economic lifelines," noted Li Fei, underscoring Renshou's integrated planning of urban hubs, industrial zones, villages, and scenic areas for both efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

By 2026, Renshou targets three new projects, five ongoing, and six reserved, with 2.17 billion yuan in planned investments. Through policy leverage, land-fund safeguards, meticulous preparations, and stringent oversight, the county aims to launch the 15th Five-Year Plan strongly, laying a "runway" for high-quality growth.

By the 15th Five-Year Plan's end, Renshou expects total road mileage to hit 4,029 kilometers—291 km of expressways, 438 km of trunk roads, and 3,300 km of rural highways—unfolding a smoother, safer, smarter, and greener modern transport network.
