According to industry insiders, Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (SSNLF) Chairman Lee Jae-yong will visit the company's robotics business center on Tuesday.

Currently, this tech giant is ramping up efforts to make its robotics business a key future growth engine.

It is reported that Lee plans to inspect an R&D center located in central Seoul.

This move is seen as his way of demonstrating a firm commitment to developing new businesses through "on-site management."

Tuesday coincides with the fourth anniversary of Lee's appointment as chairman of Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (SSNLF) in 2022.

His visit to a major robotics technology facility-which he has regarded as a main future growth driver for Samsung-is viewed as a signal of the company's dedication to expanding into new areas.

Lee is expected to review related preparations to ensure that Samsung's robotics technology achievements are showcased at CES 2027, the world's largest consumer electronics and IT exhibition, to be held in Las Vegas in January next year.

Samsung previously established a strategy to gradually expand its robotics business: starting with industrial robots for manufacturing facilities, then extending to home robots and service robots.
