ABC Shenzhen Branch Penalized 2.08 Million Yuan for Non-Compliance in Bill Guarantees and Personal Loan Reviews

On May 22, according to a penalty notice published by the Shenzhen financial regulatory authority, the Shenzhen branch of Agricultural Bank of China (ABC) was fined a total of 2.08 million yuan for regulatory violations. The penalties include confiscation of illegal gains amounting to 31,683 yuan and a monetary fine of 2.05 million yuan.

The violations cited involve non-compliant sources of bank acceptance bill guarantees and inadequate due diligence in the review process for personal loans. Additionally, responsible individuals Chen Yuchun, Wu Wei, Xu Cong, Lin Junpei, and Deng Weiming were issued formal warnings in connection with the case.
