Major Progress in Zhuhai's Urban Renewal Projects

Deep News12-14

Significant milestones have been achieved in Zhuhai's urban renewal and public welfare initiatives. The collective property of the Hongwan Old Village renovation project in Nanping has topped out, while Doumen District's Qiaoli Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital Fushan Branch commenced operations. Additionally, the Hongqi Water Purification Plant officially opened, and the Yinhua Community's health station for seniors and children was inaugurated.

**Hongwan Old Village Renovation Project** The collective property of the Hongwan Old Village renovation project recently completed its main structural framework. Spanning 81,000 square meters, the development will feature large-scale commercial spaces, office complexes, and hotels. Upon completion, it will provide relocated villagers with enhanced commercial amenities and employment opportunities, further integrating the Hongwan-Bonded Area-Hengqin zone's urban functions.

Earlier this year, over 3,000 resettlement apartments across 16 buildings were handed over to villagers, benefiting more than 2,000 households. The project also includes a 26,000-square-meter neighborhood center, a 30-class primary school, and two 12-class kindergartens, with one already operational since last year.

**Doumen Qiaoli TCM Hospital Fushan Branch** Located at No. 2 Shalong North Road in Qianwu Town, the newly opened Fushan Branch covers 5,800 square meters and offers 40 parking spaces. Formerly the Wushan Community Health Service Center, it was transferred to Qiaoli TCM Hospital’s management on October 30. The facility aims to serve nine surrounding villages and the Fushan Industrial Park, benefiting over 80,000 residents with a focus on traditional Chinese medicine services.

**Hongqi Water Purification Plant** Operated by Zhuhai Water Drainage Co., the Hongqi plant now serves a 26-square-kilometer area, including Hongqi Town and key zones in Aviation New City, with a daily treatment capacity of 50,000 tons. Its effluent meets stringent national and provincial standards. Advanced treatment technologies and smart water management systems will enhance efficiency and sustainability.

**Yinhua Community Health Station** Zhuhai’s first integrated health station for seniors and children, launched in Cuixiang Subdistrict, offers convenient screenings like arterial stiffness tests—previously only available in hospitals. Regular health lectures, chronic disease follow-ups, and youth vision protection services are also provided, addressing community-specific health needs.

These projects mark significant strides in Zhuhai’s urban development, healthcare accessibility, and environmental sustainability, elevating residents' quality of life.
