HKT-SS Divests 9% Stake in Regional Link Telecom Services for Approximately $209 Million

HKT-SS (06823) and PCCW (00008) jointly announced that on March 30, 2026 (after trading hours), Apex Link Communications Holdings Limited, an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of HKT, agreed to sell a 9% equity interest in Regional Link Telecom Services Holdings Limited to Pegasus Investment BidCo Limited. The total consideration for the transaction is approximately $209 million, which will be settled in cash. Following the completion of the sale, the target company will remain an indirect subsidiary of HKT and, consequently, an indirect subsidiary of PCCW. The proceeds from this transaction, following the initial investment, will enable HKT to further strengthen its resources to enhance and broaden its service offerings for consumers, provide innovative and advanced technology solutions for enterprise clients, and simultaneously improve its financial position. It is reported that the primary business of the target company is investment holding. Passive Netco, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the target company, is engaged in the passive network business.
