PONY-W (02026) rose over 10% again, gaining 8.59% to HK$125.1 at press time with a turnover of HK$53.6749 million.
The company's co-founder and CFO Wang Haojun revealed that Pony AI has achieved single-vehicle profitability (positive unit economics) in Guangzhou through large-scale deployment of its seventh-generation Robotaxi, generating average daily revenue of RMB 299 per vehicle. The fleet size is expected to exceed 1,000 vehicles by end-2025 and reach 3,000 in 2026, with a long-term target of 100,000 operational vehicles by 2030.
Pony AI has launched a capital-light partnership model to accelerate autonomous driving commercialization globally, marking a critical transition from "technology validation" to "scalable profitability." The Guangzhou profitability milestone was enabled by technological breakthroughs and cost optimization in the seventh-generation Robotaxi.
Debuted at the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show, the new generation features over 70% reduction in autonomous driving kit costs compared to its predecessor. Through deep collaboration with GAC Group, BAIC Group, and GAC Toyota, the technology solution achieves cross-model compatibility. Currently, two seventh-gen models are in production, with a third slated for launch between late 2025 and early 2026. All three models share standardized autonomous driving kits including identical radar, camera configurations and L4 software systems to ensure consistent driving capabilities.
