In a recent initiative, a delegation of young cadres from the Party Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's (MIIT) direct organs and the Equipment Industry Development Center visited DiDi Autonomous Driving to engage in research and discussions focused on technological innovation and practical application within the intelligent connected vehicle (ICV) industry.

During the event, Liu Xinyan, Party Secretary and Deputy Director of the Equipment Industry Development Center, along with responsible officials from relevant departments of the MIIT's direct organs and the Center, as well as youth cadre representatives, toured the DiDi Autonomous Driving Beijing Huiju Port facility. They gained insights into the progress of DiDi Autonomous Driving's technology R&D and application, Robotaxi model iteration, and the construction of its full-process operation and maintenance support system.

The research group experienced a test ride in the new-generation Robotaxi model, the R2, gaining firsthand experience of the flexible and smooth smart mobility provided by autonomous driving technology in complex urban road conditions.

According to Zhang Bo, Co-founder of DiDi Global Inc. and CEO of DiDi Autonomous Driving Company, DiDi Autonomous Driving has independently mastered the full-stack core technological capabilities for L4 autonomous driving. The company is currently conducting all-weather, fully unmanned passenger-carrying tests in designated demonstration zones in Guangzhou and Beijing, maintaining safe and stable operational performance.

The new-generation Robotaxi model R2, developed in cooperation between DiDi Autonomous Driving and GAC Aion, was delivered in January this year and has commenced regular road testing. DiDi Autonomous Driving remains committed to responsible technological innovation, continuously advancing the evolution of autonomous driving AI technology and vehicle design.

Furthermore, representatives from both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on key topics such as industrial development policies, technical standard systems, and safety supervision mechanisms for the ICV sector. The event also provided a platform for exchange and collaboration between industry regulators and enterprises.

Looking ahead, DiDi Autonomous Driving will continue to deepen technological innovation and industrial practice, actively contributing to the high-quality development of the intelligent connected vehicle industry.
